Stay on Page Alert - Improved User Experience

What is Stay on Page Alert?

Imagine you’re editing a project, tweaking its name, status, or description. Suddenly, you click away to another part of the application — but wait, you haven’t saved your changes yet! In the past, this could mean losing your updates without realizing it.

That’s where Stay on Page Alert comes in. Whenever you try to navigate away from a page with unsaved changes, OpenRose will gently remind you with a clear alert. You’ll have two simple choices:

  • Leave the page → discard your changes and continue navigating.
  • Stay on the page → keep working and save your updates before moving on.

It’s a small safeguard that makes a big difference in preventing accidental data loss.

Why it matters

  • No more surprises: You’ll always know if you’re about to lose unsaved work.
  • Consistency across the app: Whether you’re editing a project, requirement type, item, or baseline, the alert works the same way everywhere.
  • Peace of mind: Focus on your work without worrying about losing progress.

This feature is all about giving you control and confidence while navigating through OpenRose.

Where you’ll see it

Stay on Page Alert is active across the main areas where you can make changes:

  • Projects → Editing names, statuses, or descriptions.
  • Requirement Types & Items → Making updates or creating new child/sibling items.
  • Baselines → Modifying names and descriptions.

Even actions like refreshing the browser or clicking on navigation links are covered. If unsaved changes exist, you’ll be prompted before anything is lost.

A better user experience

We know how frustrating it can be to lose work by accident. With Stay on Page Alert, OpenRose now offers a more predictable, user‑friendly flow. It’s one more step toward making requirements management not just powerful, but also a pleasure to use.
